Dragonbane: Alone in Deepfall Breach Session 6- Another Way Around

Though not life threatening, Aleric plans to deal with his wounds. From there we press on deeper into the Breach! 2. Unknown- The Cultist's Guard Hut Aleric winces as he strips off his shirt to examine his wound. The blood has stopped, but the large gash in his shoulder will need some attention before he continues. Before he spends too much time tending the wound, he quickly searches for any medical supplies that the cultist might have had in their hut.   Oracle: Is there anything useful in the hut that Aleric finds for healing? 4: Yes Aleric finds something that will be helpful in his journey! Aleric quickly moves to the cabinets and storage areas in the hut, looking for anything that might help him recover. He opens a cabinet and finds a medical kit within. Solo Rambling 2024: A year in review

The following post is just a bit of off the cuff thoughts about the games I've played so far. Regular sessions will continue next week with Dragonbane session 6. For anyone interested in my thoughts so far, here ya go! Ironsworn The game that everyone recommends to start with. I’ll admit, I was somewhat talked out of starting with other games by the hordes of solo roleplayers and Ironsworn fans that recommend people start here on their solo journey. After reviewing many posts discussing a place to start, it seemed that Ironsworn was the way to learn how to drive a narrative on your own as a solo player. While in the end I really enjoyed my time so far in Ironsworn, it certainly has more of a learning curve than people admit to themselves. The key to successfully running the game for me was becoming very familiar with all of the move options. Dragonbane: Alone in Deepfall Breach Session 5- Another Day, Another Delve

After Aleric's brief interlude to Outskirt, he is ready to take on the next mission down into the breach! Stone-Gaze sat for a moment before nodding to Aleric. “I’m glad you’ve decided to continue on. After working with Gorum last night, we were able to piece together what he had learned. It is much more dire than I had imagined… A leader of a demon cult has taken the Worldbreaker shard. The tip of the abyssal spear which split the land and created the Breach! We cannot allow that power to stay in their hands. With Gorum able to describe Where the cultists had initially taken him, I was able to divine the location of a subterranean outpost. You must go and find a devotee of demons named Arioch. He wears the Worldbreaker shard as a medallion on his neck. Dragonbane: Alone in Deepfall Breach Session 4- A trip to Outskirt

Aleric takes a journey to Outskirt to pick up some supplies while Stone-Gaze works with Gorum while he tries to recover his memories about the breach Stone-Gaze wakes early as he hears the sounds of Aleric packing his bags. “Ah, I’m sorry to wake you. I thought it best I get on the road early and make sure I leave plenty of time to pick up the supplies you’ve requested. I’ll likely be back this evening, but I may just take you up on your suggestion to stay the night. A few drinks in a tavern sounds like just what I need right about now… Ah, here I found this on one of the cultists below. Dragonbane: Alone in Deepfall Breach Session 3- Time to Escape

Aleric charges into battle to finish off his first mission down below into Deepfall Breach! 5. Fiendish Altar Aleric’s charge takes the cultists off-guard, but only for a moment does he have the upper hand! He’ll have to make this count. COMBAT Round 1 Initiative Aleric (HP17/17)- (Army of one: Draw 2 Initiatives) 1 & 10 Cultist 1(HP 16/16) (Dagger)- 6 Cultist 2 (HP 12/12)(Staff)- 8 Seizing the moment of surprise, Aleric rushes towards the rear of the room where the cultists stand stunned in shock. The man with the dagger appears to be the tougher of the two, so he swings his newly acquired longsword down with a hefty overhead attack. Dragonbane: Alone in Deepfall Breach Session 2- The Spoils to the Victor

Aleric continues his first delve into Deepfall Breach! His mission is to rescue the Orc taken by cultists deep into the Breach for some demonic ritual... Aleric begins searching the room, hoping to find some sort of clue that might lead him toward the correct sarcophagus leading to the next room. He sighs, thinking about all the time he’s already spent moving through the previous corridors with such care. Every second he wastes means it's more likely that the band of goblins finds him before he completes his mission.    Roll: Spot Hidden (5): 15; Failure- Aleric’s search bears no fruit. Threat increases from 2 to 3 of 6 for the time he spends searching    Aleric examines each of the stone coffins with care, but in the end he comes up with nothing.
