With his final challenge ahead, Rufus makes his way to The Forest of Endless night! The Forest of Endless Night: Challenge 1 Challenge 1: As soon as he enters the forest, a large creature with a chest embedded in it guards the way!! DC: 14 HP: 60 Upon reaching the outskirts of the forest, Rufus finds himself face to face with a tree-shaped creature! Only this creature also appears to have a treasure chest embedded in its chest. "Time to start in on it I suppose! And with a juicy bonus of loot to start!" Rufus takes a careful approach. Hoping to get the goods and not face the creature, he sneaks up and attempts to pick open the chest without so much as the cr...

Level 1 Skeleton: Session 4- The Forlorn Knight

Grim-Caller the Forlorn Knight After his quick pit stop to town, Rufus is back on the road out to the next overlord. "I mean who knows how long I was dead for! I got plenty of rest then, and I have to save the world after all!" This time making sure to check the pamphlet for the location of the next dungeon before he gets too far in the wrong direction. "Grim-Caller the Forlorn Knight, huh? Geez, sounds like I'll be doin' him a favor putting him down for his own good! And were off to the serpent's sepulcher.... Hmmm I mean I still don't think I really know what a sepulcher is but it seems spooky enough!" With that Rufus makes his way to the dungeon of the third overlord. Level 1 Skeleton: Session 3- The Foul Servant

Soul-Spear the Foul Servant GM Note: Well after a short break from the game, I went back to play and realized I was playing on a bit of hard mode! When making a check, the challenge HP is always removed equal to your result. If you do not meet the dc, the only punishment is taking damage yourself as well. Now I don't think that the last challenge was particularly hard, but for this dungeon I'm going to go with rules as written and see if that changes anything. And alas, onward my brave skeleton! Having braved the Fortress of Extreme Frustration and defeated Frost-Taker, Rufus valiant strides down the road leaving the town behind him. "AH Yes! Success! Such a sweet and delicious taste to put down ones enemies and save the world!!! Haha!" He laughs triumphantly. After several hours of walking, the smug Rufus stops in his tracks. Ahem... Well, I suppose I should see where it is I am ...

Level 1 Skeleton: Session 2- The Chaos Sorcerer

Frost-Taker the Chaos Sorcerer After running down the road for some time, Rufus finally stops, a quizzical look passing over his... eye sockets. Wait! I should probably see where I'm going!" He quickly pulls out the first poster with the overlords details. "Ah! I see! Frost-taker the Chaos Sorcerer. Seems like a push over. And he's located in... The Fortress of Extreme Frustration huh? Well I'm sure this Frost-Taker guy will gladly leave a place like that! Sounds simply awful!" Now feeling a bit more guided, Rufus heads towards the Fortress of Extreme Frustration, which he oddly remembers where its located since he was so familiar with this area in life! Coming to the fortress, Rufus charges in, longsword in hand ready for battle "I'm here with eviction papers! Lets see you out peacefully... Or NOT!" Fortress of Extreme Frustration: Challenge 1 Challenge 1: A squad of sto...

Level 1 Skeleton: Session 1- Finally Awake

"Well, looks like you're finally coming around then eh!?" Rufus hears a hearty laugh from somewhere above him. As his senses returns he realizes he's looking up from the flat of his back. He must be in some kind of deep hole. About 6 feet deep at least, if he had to guess. An old looking knight stands over the hole as he chuckles at nothing. "Well At least you've got your gear there, even if you're missing the rest of you! Well, best get up and about it. The overlords need defeating if you're to save the world from the Great King!" The knight laughs, wandering off. Rufus glances about, recognizing that he is wearing a fine breastplate, with a longsword at his side. But he also realizes quickly that he is missing all else but his bones! "Ah yes, that's right! I am Rufus and I am dead! Or... Well I suppose I was dead. Hmm... What did that old fool just say? Something about saving the world? Ov...

Level 1 Skeleton: Let's Make a Skeleton!

I want to save the world, but I'm just a Level 1 Skeleton!  Getting started with some character creation. This game is a pretty simple system, so throwing together a character should be a breeze. First off, lets give a name to our freshly awakened skeleton. Character Creation 1. A Name There's a good table for character name you can roll on, but I'm going to go with something a bit goofy, a bit silly. Really set the tone for my skeleton's adventure. And so this all bones no skin warrior shall be named: Rufus 2. Approaches and Skills Attributes in this game are your approaches and skills. Instead of getting a static number, die sizes are assigned to your attributes. To assign your die, you roll on a D4 table of approaches and a D6 table of Skills. There are a few different configurations. Either you roll once to assign a D8 to that skill/approach and the remainder get D4s, or you roll twice to assign D6s to those two skills/approa...
